Artishok Annual Exhibition: XxX
Curatorial project.
The idea was to introduce 10 artists together with 10 art critics. There were 10 consecutive openings, one artist per day presented their brand new work together with 10 texts by critics about this particular work.
For artists, this provided a lot of feedback from different authors different viewpoints.
Main challenge – and also benefit – for the critics was that as they had to finish their writing before the opening of the exhibition, they had to employ more creative writing strategies, thus becoming less evaluators and more co-authors.
The event later changed to Artishok Biennale with new curators each time while keeping the original 10x10 formula.
